LARA MAIN RULES
Rule 10-09-02b
- Coaching Rules:
- See all rules attached to Rule 10-09-01
- Coaches will take and pass a Background Check every 3rd Year.
- Coaches will follow K.S.H.A.A. guidelines for conduct.
- Coaches for baseball/softball are required to attend an annual coaches meeting
- This may be done same day as draft.
- Participant Rules:
- All participants shall adhere to K.S.H.A.A. guidelines regarding conduct.
- Punching, slapping, biting, kicking, or any other act of violent, aggressive behavior not related to the sport being played shall not be tolerated.
- 1st offense is 2 week suspension from practices and games.
- 2nd offense is expulsion from the program for 1 year.
- 3rd offense is a lifetime ban.
- Playing Time: Requirements
- 1st-2nd Grade Basketball-Equal within 2 min.
- 3-6th Grade Basketball-10 min. per half minimum.
- Minutes per player can be figured by multiplying the total minutes of the game by 5 then dividing by the number of players you have.
- Baseball 8U-2 innings and 2 at bats/plate appearances
- Baseball 10-12U- 2 innings and 2 at bats.
- Baseball 13-15U- Equal play time is not required
- Softball 8U- Equal play time is manditory
- Softball 10U- Equal at bats and half a game on defense
- Softball 12U-Equal play time is encouraged, not required.
- Softball 14U and Up-No requirements
- Coach Pitch and T-Ball-Equal Play time is required.
- If a coach does not follow these guidelines, they will receive a warning. If they continue to violate the rule then they will be suspended.
- General Rules:
- No Smoking or consumption/possession of drugs or alchohol @ any LARA practice or sporting event Period.
- No heckling or arguing with umpires or referees.
- No abusive, profane, or threatening language towards or by the fans, participants, coaches, or officials.
- No extracurricular violence of any kind by participants, parents or coaches.
- No coaches shall be on the field or court who do not have an approved background check.
- No one may enter a dugout or the field/court for the purposes of accosting a coach, player or official.
- Coaches will vacate their practice facilities on time regardless of when they started practice.
- A coach or parent may not, during any LARA function, strike or deliberately injure any child.
- Failure to abide by these rules may result in expulsion from LARA functions for an unspecified amount of time. Or, may result in the involvement of the Louisburg Police Department.
- Late Registrations
- Late signups for baseball/softball will be assessed a $20 late fee.
- No signup s for baseball/softball can be accepted after the league scheduling meetings.
- Excludes 13-15 baseball and up. And 16U softball and up.
- Late signups for Basketball will be assessed a $20 late fee.
- No signups for basketball will be accepted after the teams reach a maximum limit of 8 per team.
- This is to provide more practice and game time for all the kids in the LARA program
