| LARA Gym Monitor Responsibilities |
|
As part of our commitment to the school, the LARA Basketball Program agrees to monitor the activities in the West Gym and LES facilities during practices and games. As a Gym Monitor during Practices and Games, the expectations are to ensure:
- During practices, kids/parents are in the gym and not in the common area.
- During games, kids/parents are in the gym or commons area and not in the hallways, classrooms, or offices.
- During practices, kids/parents stay off the collapsed bleaches @ LES. The weight bends the support structure and the bleachers will not extend.
- Baskets for 8 ft are taken down and stored after the last practice or game.
- Bouncing basketballs occur only when a player/team/coach has the rights to the court. No dribbling in the bleachers, common areas, or on stage.
- Practice in the gyms end promptly (especially the 8:00 to 9:00 pm times in LES).
- Attendees are displaying sportsmanship.
- Last practice shuts the lights off.
